How to play pickleball. What is pickleball? Instruction, strategies, tips & tricks for the pickleball novice to tournament player. I, Coach David, am a Pure Blood Pickleball player (PBPP). This means I was not a tennis, racquetball or ping pong player prior to learning pickleball. I try and seek out the best trainers and knowledge I can find and incorporate it into my game. I have been a professional golfer, a semi-professional baseball player and am an expert in self defense and sell a dvd and online program demonstrating that knowledge (see at SelfDefenseMadeRealEasy.com). But my newest passion is pickleball, and I plan on being a top player. Therefore, I will learn from anyone willing to share knowledge. Thanks for watching. I hope this helps you with your pickleball journey. Please subscribe, like, comment & share. I plan on posting many pickleball related videos including gear reviews, instructional videos and more. My home turf is Lake Havasu City, AZ. You can contact me at pickleballmadeeasy @ gmail.com (no spaces).

What about the Ónix ball outdoor, what’s your opinion ?

Bought a can of 3 Franklin’s a few days ago. Used them for the first time last night. Agree with you that seams were very pronounced. Made me question the overall quality control of these balls which were made in China. They played o.k.

Fun fact. Core and Tourna strike balls have an almost identical feel to Duras and at a fraction of the price. I will often bring a Core into the challenge court and nobody knows the difference. There’s really nothing quite like the Franklin X-40 maybe with the exception of a Jugs ball. I really dislike that they skimp on quality especially since their supposed to be an official standard tournament ball. There really should’ve been a clause in the contract that enforced the quality of that standard.

Ty for this. Just subbed to your channel. I work with Onix in 🇨🇦 and our National tournament are still using the DURA 👍. If you come up to Ontario pm me. Have a great day. David, david@thirdshotdrop.ca.

Hands down the dura 40 is the standard. But like you said, they only have a few games of life each. The X-40 franklin just gets too soft in the heat. But it does have great spin and the visibility is great. they also last a few more games per ball. But they have quality issues for sure out of the box! I have a bunch of out of round straight from the box franklins… kind of an issue when 25% of your balls are unuseable.
I probably use both half the time, but if I had to pick one and one only Id just stick to the dura and buy bulk with friends/club.

Love the dura fast 40 but have not tried the Franklin x. We play primarily outdoors but should be starting up indoors soon ~

Why did you change to the Electrum paddle from the Gear Box paddle? My husband just got the new Electrum e paddle so will test tomorrow. I like the Electrum and Selkirk Invicta.

The yellow Dura Fast 40 is by far the best outdoor ball. Way better than the X-40. Also I do agree with you about the Gamma Photon being the best indoor ball. Have you ever played with the CORE outdoor ball? I really like it a lot.
