Pro Women's GOLD Medal Match from the 2019 Las Vegas Pickleball Open

Las Vegas is known for its casinos, shows, and now pickleball. The 2019 Las Vegas Pickleball Open brings our great sport back to the rooftop of the historic Plaza Hotel & Casino for its second year. Lady Luck had a few surprises up her sleeve at this tournament, begging the question, who was gold bad enough?

In this Women’s Gold Medal Match we have a battle you won’t want to miss. On one side is the powerhouse team of Simone Jardim and Corrine Carr vs young guns Catherine Parenteau and her partner Jessie Irvine. Simone once taught Catherine tennis at Michigan State University, but has the student finally become the master? Click here to watch the match and find out.

What a fantastic match by four awesome and talented players!! That being said, I was rooting, as always, for my two favorites, Simone and Corinne. Yayyyyy! 🙂

HOW is that Jersey allowed to be worn? IT obstructs vision….WTF?

  3. Carla Norris-Hopkins on April 13, 2021 at 8:51 pm

We actually played earlier in the week on that same court and facing that building was a problem for some because of the glare. It didn’t bother me tho. 🙂

Ok am I the only one that see’s this , we need to make a new rule you can not ware a shirt that’s the same color of the ball

I know Jessie uses an Engage paddle, but she doesn’t seem to be sponsored. Some paddle company really needs to sign her up ASAP or lose out.

How did no one notice that Jardim and Carr got 3 serves at 2 all in the 3rd game?! Carr served first, then Jardim, then Carr again

jeez….unwatchable….camera focal length and editing choices both ruin the video…..go look at tennis and see how the pros do it

  10. Odoth on April 13, 2021 at 9:26 pm

    What paddle is Carr using?

  11. racketrick on April 13, 2021 at 9:26 pm

What’s with the t-shirt matching the ball color?

  12. Jeremy Smith on April 13, 2021 at 9:34 pm

These announcers are so annoying. Talking about anything but the actual match. Making excuses for every stupid thing. The glare of the building, the long day, being new to pickleball. Shut up and pay attention to the match. Ridiculous.

I call Bullshit letting anyone wear a shirt , garment , or paddle that’s the same color as the ball, your not out on the roadway! Tourney Play with $money. Nice cheat or unfair advantage, this is coming from someone that’s been playing paddle sports longer than this sport has been around.
I do love the sport and suggest having a set of 4 different color balls and the players have to all agree on a color choice and if that cannot happen the one wearing the color to camouflage the play off the paddle is asked to change their garment
