Great match, thanks for posting this! I find singles much more fun to watch as a spectator sport. Doubles is fun to play but this is amazing to watch!

  2. Paul McDevitt on December 6, 2021 at 11:07 pm

Don’t see much of Rozpedski now

  3. Journey Man on December 6, 2021 at 11:08 pm

This sport consists of the ugliest shots in tennis

    where is this?

  6. Jake Songer on December 6, 2021 at 11:09 pm

At 10:58 Yates foot gets in the net. As he steps in, the net is clearly pulled downward toward his foot. Bad call. Rozpedski was right to challenge the official.

  7. Jim H. on December 6, 2021 at 11:10 pm

    I love a happy ending.

  8. Paul Trustham on December 6, 2021 at 11:11 pm

The shot by Yates at 35:08 looked good but called out. What do others think?

  9. Andrew Knobel-Piehl on December 6, 2021 at 11:12 pm

Does anyone know what Rozpedski was getting mad at around the 39:00 mark

  10. Bob Malack on December 6, 2021 at 11:13 pm

I have a tennis and table tennis background and I cant believe the stupid underhand low preasure serve and the crappy court shot selection these guys make at THE TOP LEVEL. I’m SIXTY SIX, and with a little practice I’d clean house with these ‘failed’ semi-immobile tennis players. I’m right here in Phoenix and I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. Hit out with topspin and power and keep the ball low from the advancing net rusher, get up there yourself when you make an aggresive corner topspin approach shot and finish the point off, E-gawds, these guys play like slowed down badmitton players,.t’s a wiffle ball folks, get real..Pickleball?..LOL!!

My God this sport could be improved so much by simply eliminating that No Volley Zone. That rule absolutely kills any real variety of strategy that can be employed.

  12. ChessArmyCommander on December 6, 2021 at 11:17 pm

I could beat either one of them. At ping pong.

  13. Chris Haas on December 6, 2021 at 11:17 pm

my little league team has more fans

US Open finals —- 17 fans

  15. Armed Bear on December 6, 2021 at 11:17 pm

2 surprising things: 1, the almost total lack of third shot drops, 2, the speed of the points in singles.

  16. Thor Matt on December 6, 2021 at 11:22 pm

So nice to watch without annoying commentator Mark R.

  17. Akshay2cool on December 6, 2021 at 11:24 pm

I play better than these guys in PE

  18. Adrian Aldea on December 6, 2021 at 11:25 pm

    Yates is flat footed.

  19. Tom B on December 6, 2021 at 11:27 pm

I enjoy playing pickleball and all, but watching this and you can’t return a simple serve?

  20. Thor Matt on December 6, 2021 at 11:28 pm

There’s more empty chairs than fans watching this "Gold Medal Match."

  21. eyedktr11 on December 6, 2021 at 11:32 pm

Nice match. Terrible camera work. Bad timing on when to switch camera angles.

    4:17…ball was in.

  25. john fxg on December 6, 2021 at 11:44 pm

    lol this sport is embarrassing.

  26. Richard's World Traveler on December 6, 2021 at 11:51 pm

What was up with Kyle? He wasn’t even playing 50% of his best. He seemed like he was having problems with the heat and his shoes.

  27. David Hinshaw on December 6, 2021 at 11:55 pm

this sport has potential, but not without some huge changes. First get rid of the area you are not allowed to step in(unless like three things happen). Open the serve rules, i.e. overhand.  Speed up play with rally type scoring. The whole side out thing is antiquated and ridiculous. It kills strategy. Speedier balls not tennis speed but wiffle balls? Balls need more bounce. Really At this level the balls should be faster, and bounce higher,  court should be wider so there is more geometry brought into the game and speed and endurance come into play. I know who this game was developed for but really at this level its crazy playing like this. Try this game using a flat racquetball and then you have something. Even if you keep the underhand serve. But you have to get rid of that "no step " zone except on service games. Becomes enjoyable then.

  28. Sam SIII on December 6, 2021 at 11:55 pm

Yates, You shouldn’t used your foot to kick ball back to your opponent. You are disrespectful to your opponent. No matter at what level we are, even a master class, we must have some respect to our opponents, the court, the audiences the balls, the empire and etc. You look and behave like a spoiled child in few tournaments I had seen in YouTube. Actually, even one of the greatest tennis player, Roger Federer don’t kick the tennis balls. I think you should think over it.

  29. David Sirois on December 6, 2021 at 11:55 pm

I think this shows how far the sport has come in the last few years… there would be tons of people there to watch this match now.

  30. Vincent J on December 6, 2021 at 11:56 pm

I love how the crowd is just full of old people, and these guys get extremely pumped when they cheer. Idk, seems like a fun sport tho.

  31. ucctgg on December 6, 2021 at 11:59 pm

With ten minutes of learning the game, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, …..  could shut out either of these guys.

  32. Chris Reed on December 7, 2021 at 12:00 am

    Look at that crowd…

  33. Ease54 on December 7, 2021 at 12:01 am

Looks like fun but the playground kid’s game sound of the name is unfortunate.

  34. Elite Wolf on December 7, 2021 at 12:01 am

And the winner is: Mike Pence!!!

  35. Tennis Conditioning on December 7, 2021 at 12:02 am

great stuff – thank you for sharing!

  36. Maria Mata on December 7, 2021 at 12:03 am

You shouldn’t knock the sport unless you’ve tried it. It’s the fastest growing sport in America and a lot of fun.

  37. Chris Reed on December 7, 2021 at 12:04 am

Don’t understand how neither has seemingly any variation of their serves. Just milktoast serves EVERY single time.

  38. Emily Do on December 7, 2021 at 12:04 am

I don’t like this sport. I feel like it is tennis but smaller. I play tennis and I feel like this sport is just an uglier version. No hate to me plz
