Pickleball Improvement for All Levels – Let Out Balls Go – In2Pickle

Stop hitting “out” balls is the quickest and easiest way to improve your results. Do not bail out your opponent by hitting his or her “out” ball. In this video we go deep into the analysis of when yo hit vs. avoid a hard drive. Implement this framework and your game will improve (20% or more).

I appreciate the statistical analysis … it’s hard to be clear-headed when “in the moment” on the courts. Thank you!

Very well done! Thanks for that info. It is so difficult to let balls go by me. Something to really work on. Thanks again.

The first lesson in the underrated book “The Zen Of Pickleball” is to put your paddle down stand at the kitchen line and have someone feed balls past you from the opposite kitchen line at random varying speeds. The goal of the drill is to decipher and call each ball “in” or “out” as it passes over the net.

Wow! I’ve been giving away a lot of points. I think that mostly the decision to hit a close shot has been a knee jerk reaction while caught up in the point. I’m really going to focus on the odds more from now. Thanks for a great lesson.
