Simone, I watched with interest your and Lucy’s three game dismantling of the Waters in the Texas Open. What did you and Lucy do to compel the Waters to play your all around game and not their usual bang-to-the-body-heaters game?

Please consider offering video(s) on anticipation. You are amazing at anticipating where your opponent’s shots are going, I would greatly appreciate you sharing some of your insights.

Aloha Simone! Thanks so much for this! I see many really good players use the "chicken wing" position. I, personally, like your teaching method, probably because I’m a former tennis player. I am looking forward to more of your teaching videos!

"her clients"?? How many pro women tennis players have "clients", I don’t know of any. I guess due to less prize and sponser money, the pro pickleball women need clients.

  21. Linda Bonkoski on October 28, 2021 at 7:36 pm

    I will try this! Thanks

Paddle position makes hardly any difference.  Court position and reading the server are more important.   It’s not like you are receiving a 100+ mph tennis serve.

  23. Rachel Wilder on October 28, 2021 at 7:39 pm

I think Simone now recommends 11:00 position?

  24. Richard Barton on October 28, 2021 at 7:42 pm

Simone is becoming one of my favorite "go to" video instructors. I especially love when she has a student in the video. Watching her instruct the student is very helpful. Also, Simone, you talk about the 12 o’clock and 10 o’clock ready position with the paddle. That’s right on for me. I use the 11 o’clock variation of that.

Hi coach, could you please explain how to manage balls coming to the toes (either right or left)?

  26. thomas dirosa on October 28, 2021 at 7:43 pm

I’ve been switching between the 9 and 12 positions for some time now and living with the weaknesses of each. The 10 compromise is a great solution. Thanks!
