Great video as always! How do they get away charging $3.50 for a ball that doesn’t last 4 games! I love the dura but ended up switching to Franklins

The dura would be the most popular ball at all levels if it lowered its price and became more durable. Lot of different brands besides Franklin and dura are showing up on the courts. Played with a gearbox ball here in San Diego the other day that may soon be on the market

I do prefer dura but they need to improve visibility of the yellow ball. It’s not neon yellow like a tennis ball. That’s why I use the neon green.

ONIX Pure 2 last for several years, and yes, are the best for older recreational players. I like Dura, but they crack around the holes so fast — can’t afford to buy 100/year for that $$ just to pitch them. Plastic/environmental concerns as well.

So why did they use the x-40 at the open?

pre-tumbled to make them more playable? IMO, pro’s should be able to play a ball as it comes out of the "box". Next thing you know they will want to control the environment for better outdoor play!

What’s with the party boat / bus. I know it’s supposed to be funny, but I don’t get it 🤪

A tournament I played in Arizona this last summer kept all the X-40 balls on ice between matches. Definitely helps to keep them cool if you are playing in the heat, helps them continue to play fast.
