    Hi Zach

What, in your opinion are the pros and cons of wearing 2 pairs of socks. Federer seems to do that. I thought of wearing thin toe socks as a first layer and then normal socks over them. The toe socks help me to manage rubbing caused by knobbly bits of bone between a couple of toes. However, the toe socks are a bit thin at the ends of the toes and I get some blisters there. Two pairs of sock might be worth a try. What do you think? I did try that out, in fact, but the shoes were tight. I could go up a half size to accommodate the two pairs but I wonder if it’s worth it.

    Best wishes
    Steve

Kind of a weird question, but ahve you ever had socks pull on your leg hairs and cause irritation? If so is there a relatively simple solution or a sock that won’t do that?

  3. drakdaystar on November 17, 2021 at 9:17 pm

Hi Zach, love your videos. Would you recommend compression socks for flat feet?

  4. Rodrigo Oliveira on November 17, 2021 at 9:21 pm

Hi Zach! I have two doubts about socks that maybe you could shed some light on it: 1) What do you think about compression socks like Decathlon’s RS900, worth it or gimmick? 2) I’ve also seen some special socks called gripper (or anti-slip) socks that contain some rubber points/dots at the bottom which supposedly helps your foot to stay in place inside the shoes? Did you have the chance to check or review any of these?

Kirkland Costco Socks! The white ones! There like $14 for like 8 pairs. The cushion is plush so you can avoid blisters.

  6. Roman Tymoshchuk on November 17, 2021 at 9:23 pm

    What socks use Rafa?

  7. Jimmy Warren on November 17, 2021 at 9:27 pm

Never purchased the Thorlos or the Lasso socks yet but I’m well aware of them and want to eventually get some pairs! With that being said I’m a basketball player/coach and I wear the Adidas Creator 365, and Point 3 Impact socks. I must have about 20 pairs combined! The Point 3 socks are my go-to currently for basketball though! Great sock and has that lower mid look which I prefer. Another pair of socks that I have 6+ pairs of is the white UA Playmaker crew socks (I only buy the white 😆).

How did the Adidas HYDROSHIELD socks hold up over time, Zach? They are a bit thinner than some of your other choices. Did that effect the durability?

Greetings from India 🇮🇳. Sir, could you please review artengo shoe TS 960.

  10. viet on November 17, 2021 at 9:31 pm

Do you have any comments on why some people wear two pairs of socks? Are there pros/cons to it? Thinking dmitrov style a few years back

  11. Richard Ortiz on November 17, 2021 at 9:32 pm

Alpha skin is the only sock I can wear comfortably in the heat over here. I’m a heavy sweater and was having to change my socks every set unless I wanted it to be squish squish every step. Don’t get me wrong my shoes are still wet at the end of a match so if there’s someone who sweats more than me or Jack sock you might have to play tennis with Kleenex boxes on your feet.

  12. Elad Lachovitzki on November 17, 2021 at 9:33 pm

Have you tried the RTP Kraken socks? Not cheap but so far so good for me!

  13. John Prevost on November 17, 2021 at 9:33 pm

Thoughts on the Fila/Drymax crew socks? I’d love to hear your opinion!

Where did you find a 10 pack?! I wanna get those NB

  17. McKinley on November 17, 2021 at 9:36 pm

Hey man great video and thanks for the recommendations. Was wondering if you’d be posting the Q&A, you gave helpful tips on ball of feet blisters from micro chafing during basketball. Thanks.

I’ve been loving the Strideline crew sock for playing sports. Super comfortable one-to-one feel and they’re easy to put on and take off, as welll.

  19. Ingrid Yip on November 17, 2021 at 9:40 pm

I love the ASICS crew stock, I love the padding in them and they are very reasonably priced

  20. 32a34a on November 17, 2021 at 9:41 pm

Yep I love your review but here’s one out of the box. I would love a review or
suggestion of a great sock for just laying around the house. Now you may ask
wtf are you on Charles. But here’s my point. I have some messed up feet, ankles
and yada yada yada and just wearing these crappy Hanes I get the grip where the
sock actually makes a indentation and swells my legs. Anyhoo. I or anyone else I
am sure could use a nice lounging sock that is comfortable and maybe doesn’t
cause swelling or and just isn’t a piece of garbage like Hanes. Anyway thanks again
for this video sir much appreciated.

I got the Thorlos after watching your last video. Paid like 20€(25$) here in Europe for each pair and thought it was pretty expensive but it turned out to be worth every penny and I really love them. I can play 3 hour matches without even thinking about blisters. Thanks for the unique content you create.

  22. Mason Wrisley on November 17, 2021 at 9:43 pm

I sweat more than any one I know, and my shoes leave pools off sweat after each step, what would be a good shoe that wicks away sweat and stays lightweight throughout the match

  23. Tracy on November 17, 2021 at 9:44 pm

I can’t find the SOLINCO for women – does this exist? I’m 7.5 women’s shoe.

  24. Dylan Jones on November 17, 2021 at 9:46 pm

little off topic of this video but I have pretty wide really bad feet and feel like I’ve tried every shoe and almost nothing doesn’t hurt my feet do you have any suggestions on tennis shoes I have already been to the podiatrist and got custom orthotics but they don’t really help. The only shoes that slightly worked for me is the New balance 1006s 2e but they just don’t have enough support for me. Thanks love the vids!

  25. Joshua Dearing on November 17, 2021 at 9:46 pm

I have never understood why most people wear longer socks for tennis verses what I like to use the ankle socks? (Thorlo Ankle socks to be exact)

  26. Brad Williams on November 17, 2021 at 9:48 pm

Informative Dr. Zach! For next year maybe or just an idea – would be curious as to your take on Smartwool socks. Thank you as always! 🙂

  27. Lets Build That App on November 17, 2021 at 9:51 pm

Great socks review. I recommend getting a lapel mic so the audio doesn’t sound so tinny and hollow.

  28. Mason Wrisley on November 17, 2021 at 9:52 pm

Bro I love the adidas creator 365 socks, I have been talking about those forever

  29. Nikko Vilwock on November 17, 2021 at 9:53 pm

So I just watched the potential vapor cage 5 video and the shoe Nadal was wearing looked a lot like the shoe he wore at the laver cup 2019, so was it the same shoe or a different one

  30. chris griffiths on November 17, 2021 at 9:54 pm

Great reviews again, could you post the final list in the comments 👏

  31. Sebastian Luna-villanueva on November 17, 2021 at 9:54 pm

Do you think any of these socks are good for running? I mean running 5 to 10 miles. Or should l get specific "running socks"?

  32. sanghyun lee on November 17, 2021 at 9:55 pm

What is the size recommendation for 9.5? Should go with medium or large?

  33. August Blood on November 17, 2021 at 9:57 pm

I guess hydroshield is only good if your shoe is properly breathable.

  34. eduardinodecielo on November 17, 2021 at 10:00 pm

Another important point when evaluating Thorlo Socks is that they are completely lax in the Achilles heel area and do not put any pressure on the tendon

  35. Myles Galos on November 17, 2021 at 10:05 pm

Iam a thor lo socks man, although havent tried bombast others. Thanks for the video

  36. Brendan N on November 17, 2021 at 10:07 pm

I enjoy the feetures high performance cushion crew socks. Have you tried them?
